HANDSOME HANK finds his forever home and second career…
Remember Handsome Hank? That gorgeous Thoroughbred that was hours away from being euthanized after a tendon injury in August of 2014. We are happy to report that after a year of rehabilitation, 6 months of pasture rest and light round pen work under saddle, Hank has found his forever home and second career.
April (his foster mom) was still mourning the loss of her horse when she first heard about Hank. A friend told her about him and after viewing his photo and bio on the Redwings website, she was instantly in love. In March of this year, April came out to meet Hank in person and watch him work in the round pen. Hank and April had an immediate connection and April knew she had found the perfect horse for her. April arranged for a local trainer to work with Hank and her for the first two months. April took lessons weekly and built a solid foundation of love and trust with Hank.
Today Hank is spoiled and very happy. April and Hank are working towards doing some low level hunter shows and having fun out on the trails. Redwings is Very Happy that Handsome Hank has found the loving home he deserves.
